The above picture is from a very old fan that Pharmacies used to give to customers quite a few years back before, we as a culture, felt we had to be Politically Correct. To offer something like this to a customer today just may offend them. How did we allow this to happen? How did we as a nation decide it was correct to remove God from our life, but yet when we are faced with a tragedy--what is the first thing we do? We desperately search for Him and pray and ask for forgiveness and His protection because we are just mere men and women. The picture to the right is another old fan--just beautiful.
This is Holy Week. I intend on being at Church on Wednesday, Thursday, Good Friday and on Saturday to become part of the Catholic Church. This week will be busy and it will allow all of us to reflect on Jesus, His teachings and His Passion.
The picture above is a plate my sister, Betsy gave me one year for my birthday. It is the Blessed Mother--A mother all women can relate to and as women we should admire her for being obedient to God. She was with her Son until the end---she had to endure the pain of watching her Son being arrested, beaten and crucified for our sins. She was there when Jesus performed His first miracle--at the wedding--changing water to wine. Mary said to the servants: "Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it". Her words should also ring true to us today. She is the Mother of us all.
My sister Betsy, again, made this beautiful picture of the Cross and she gave it to me for Christmas in December. I have a lot of other items I want to share with you--gifts I have received from my friends. I will share them with you in future posts. Keep your eyes on the Cross and God Bless. Happy Easter.
